ausculture newsletter June 2003

Welcome to Australia's Culture and Recreation Portal Newsletter for June 2003

*****

The Culture and Recreation Portal has recently made a change 'behind the scenes' to the way we style our page with the use of cascading style sheets.

Cascading style sheets are a mechanism for adding style (fonts, colours, spacing and so forth) to Web documents. This change will assist our readers, especially those with special needs, in making our website easier to view and use. An added benefit with style sheets is that all our pages will download more quickly making our website more accessible for everyone http://www.cultureandrecreation.gov.au/.

For more information on cascading style sheets look at the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) website http://www.w3.org/Style/.
