Information on past MLP programs

The 2009 MLP program is being realised at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, North Ryde, NSW, in August 2009.

MLP is a challenging and intensive 6-day residential program designed to meet the needs of senior museum professionals, with a particular emphasis on nurturing the leadership that will shape the sector in the future.  Led by an outstanding international faculty, the highly interactive program brings a global perspective to the Australian museum industry.  Participants focus on strategic planning and management issues relevant to the region.

The learning process was effective and the opportunities to network and share  ideas was fantastic. The level of participation of presenters …was fantastic. This kind of program is vital to the success of the Australian cultural heritage sector.” MLP 2005

The impact on my museum work on me personally has been profound. Not a day has gone by since that I have not reflected on or put into action something I learnt on the course.”

The program provided me with one of those exceptional weeks in my life that I will reflect on often to gain inspiration and direction. I also have forty colleagues from the program who will always lend a hand
