The Museum Historians' National Network provides an information and support network for museum historians working throughout Australia. It organises sessions at the Museums Australia National Conference each year, and special events such as tours and talks.

Among other activities every year are:

  • A bursary program for professional development
  • Sponsoring a museum historian as a keynote speaker at the annual Museums Australia conference
  • An AGM

The Museum Historians' National Network also issues a bi-annual e-newsletter, Timelines, keeping members up-to-date with new museum exhibitions, research projects and special events.
