The Museum Historians' National Network provides an information and support network for museum historians working throughout Australia. It organises sessions at the Museums Australia National Conference each year, and special events such as tours and talks.

The Museum Historians' National Network also issues a bi-annual e-newsletter, Timelines, keeping members up-to-date with new museum exhibitions, research projects and special events.
Historians National Network offers an annual bursary program for the professional development of the network's members.
