Museums Australia (New South Wales)
The NSW branch, established in 1969, is represented by a branch committee of elected members supported by a part-time executive officer and a network of regional chapters.
It organises an annual conference and other events in Sydney and in the regions, provides advice to members, and publishes the branch newsletter Museum Matters.
It offers member bursaries to assist participate in the national conference of Museums Australia, and other events.
In partnership with Museums and Galleries NSW, Museums Australia (ACT) and the Regional and Public Galleries Association New South Wales, it presents the IMAGinE Awards, celebrating the achievements of museums and galleries in NSW and the ACT.
It represents the interests of members to governments and other bodies through submissions, participating in committees and other work.
