Museums Australia (New South Wales)

The NSW branch, established in 1969, is represented by a branch committee of elected members supported by a part-time executive officer and a network of regional chapters.

Branch and chapter services include a program of tours and talks and occasional workshops in Sydney and regional NSW, the newsletter Museum Matters and bursaries to the national conference.

In partnership with Museums and Galleries NSW, Museums Australia (ACT) and the Regional and Public Galleries Association New South Wales, it presents the IMAGinE Awards, celebrating the achievements of museums and galleries in NSW and the ACT.

To assist the chapter network, the branch holds an annual conference for chapter representatives and provides other kinds of support.

It represents the interests of members to governments and other bodies through submissions, representation on the committees and other work.
