Institutional membership

Institutional membership will bring you and your staff into contact with ideas, expertise and personalities from across the diverse museums and gallery sector.

Membership fees for institutions are based on the number of staff employed:

4 Org	16 - 25 staff	$440
5 Org	25 to 40 staff	$825

7 Org	101 and over staff	$3300

Membership benefits for categories 1 and 2 institutional members include:

• for the nominated representative, all of the benefits available to individual members; and
• membership rates for up to 4 staff or volunteers to attend the annual national Museums Australia conference.

Membership benefits for categories 3 institutional members include:

• for the nominated representative, all of the benefits available for individual members; and
• three copies of Museums Australia Magazine with the option to purchase additional copies of Museum National at cost price
• membership rates for up to 10 staff or volunteers to attend the annual national Museums Australia conference.

Membership benefits for categories 4 and 5 institutional members include:

• for the nominated representative, all of the benefits available for individual members; and
• five copies of Museums Australia Magazine with the option to purchase additional copies of Museum National at cost price
• membership rates for up to 10 staff or volunteers to attend the annual national Museums Australia conference.

Membership benefits for categories 6 and 7 institutional members include:

• for the nominated representative, all of the benefits available for individual members;
• ten copies of Museums Australia Magazine with the option to purchase additional copies of Museum National at cost price;
• membership rates to the annual conference for as many staff or volunteers as the institution wishes to send.
  

Organisations applying for institutional membership of Museums Australia are required to include copies of relevent documentation that identifies the objectives and status of the organisation (such as a copy of the constitution, aquisitions policy etc) . This documentation is required to process the application. Failure to include this documentation may incur a delay in processing.
