Exhibition Services aims to develop the awareness and value of Victoria’s museums and galleries by encouraging these organisations to develop static and touring exhibitions to promote the stories of rich and diverse collections across Victoria to a broad audience. Victorian Collections is a free, easy to use, online cataloguing system that is available to all types of collecting organisations throughout Victoria.
Victorian Collections is being developed for groups wanting to take the initial step from manual to digital cataloguing. All records are stored securely and permanently online.
The project is undertaking pilot training and consultation sessions throughout Victoria while the system is under development. Victorian Collections aims to be open to all Victorian collecting organisations by end 2011. See our website for details.
