Building Better Regional Museums
Since 2002 the Building Better Regional Museums (BBRM) and Conservation Planning Project (CPP) have administered small infrastructure grants and funding for conservation strategies to museums in regional Victoria. For example, storage systems and display cases are just some of the essential 'tools of the trade' museums need to preserve and present their collections. However, funds for these items are not always easy to find. That's where the Museums Australia (Victoria) BBRM initiative comes in.
Linking the Learning Communities
This pilot program is creating links between the schools, community museums and Adult Community Education (ACE) providers. Starting in Buloke Shire and the Yarra Ranges, the program is auspiced by Museums Australia (Victoria), and will work with adult education centres to develop networks and a museum education training module.
Museum Industry Recognition Awards
The Museum Industry Recognition Awards are held every year with the Awards being presented at our annual International Museum Day celebrations.
