Museum Leadership Program 2015
“From Vision to Reality - Ideas to Action”

Museums Australia in partnership with the Gordon Darling Foundation announces the Faculty for the 2015 Museums Leadership Program.
 

2015 Faculty

Professor Jeanne Liedtka OAM from the Darden Institute of Business Management, University of Virginia is returning to lead the 2015 MLP. 
 

Her teaching topic: Developing strategies for actions and results.
 

Neil MacGregor OM AO the outstanding Director of the British Museum needs no introduction to any person working in the museum world. He is the keynote presenter for MLP 2015.

Neil’s focus will be on local and national institutions operating in an international world.

Sarla Fernando Audience Management Director & Corporate Counsel at Bauer Media Group (Women’s Weekly, Elle, Woman’s Day etc.) will join the 2015 course. Her knowledge and experience in using social media to engage diversified audiences will add a new dimension to the program.

Kay Sprinkel Grace heads up her own consulting practice – advising not-for-profit organisations on fundraising and board management. In demand as a keynote speaker and workshop leader worldwide, Kay’s sessions will cover engaging the board, the community and donors.


 

Suzanne Heywood has developed a unique perspective in vocal communication skills, equipping the individual with the ability to maximise their potential for effective and efficient communication. She has led the popular sessions on Verbal Communication Skills at the 2009 and 2012 programs.

Who Should Apply

The Museum Leadership Program targets high-level museum professionals.
As class activities are frequently based on applying new tools and techniques to personal experience, applicants should have several years of challenging work experience in museums.

Places on the Museum Leadership Program are limited and selection is competitive.
