Bursaries for ECU Certificate in Museum Studies & Weekend Workshops for 2009

Owing to time constraints and the popularity of the course, Museums Australia WA has opened bursary applications for volunteers to attend modules on the 2009 Certificate in Museum Studies Course presented by Edith Cowan University.  The bursaries are subject to the approval of our application for a Lotterywest Extending the Capacity of Not-For-Profit

Organisations Grant.

The bursary covers reimbursement of travel and accommodation expenses (regional and remote participants only) and course fees.   Approval of bursaries will be dependent upon the number of applications received by MAWA.  To comply with the grant requirements, we are unable to reimburse course fees already paid for.

Please note that registration for the course is not done thorough Museums Australia.  To enrol for any of the workshops you must contact ECU on 9370 6888 or 9370 6365.

If you would like to apply for this assistance, please complete the attached/enclosed application form, which is also available on the Museums Australia WA website. The completed form must be posted/faxed/emailed to Museums Australia WA no later than Friday 16th January 2009.

In the event that our Lotterywest Grant application is unsuccessful, these bursaries will not proceed.  You will then need to decide whether or not you go ahead and attend the course at your own expense.  We expect to be notified of Lotterywest’s decision by Christmas and will inform you as soon as we hear from them.
