While the primary source of income for Museums Australia is from membership fees, Museums Australia is extremely grateful for funding and in-kind assistance provided by the following supporters of the national organisation:
Many National Council members receive support from the institutions they work for to enable them to attend face to face meetings of the National Council. Some of these institutions also sponsor individual teleconferences of the National Council and Standing Committees.
