2010 Winners Announced
In 2004 Museums Australia entered into partnership with the Regional Galleries Association of Queensland to form a company Museum and Gallery Services Queensland Ltd. M&GSQ represents and services Museums Australia members in Queensland.
Museum and Gallery Services Queensland works to serve, promote and foster excellence in Queensland's museums, galleries and keeping places, to build their value to Queensland communities.
The organisation achieves this by providing a range of programs and services in the areas of information and advice; training and professional development; and exhibition development and touring, and by promoting the achievements of Queensland galleries and museums through activities that profile and recognise their activities.
Museum and Gallery Services Queensland is a non-profit company, limited by guarantee, and jointly owned by the Regional Galleries Association of Queensland Inc. and Museums Australia Inc. The company is supported by the Queensland Government, through Arts Qld; the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy, an initiative of Australian, State and Territory Governments; and the Commonwealth through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.
